A great many superb beaches abound the locality of Rotonda all within a short drive of the villa that the community is really spoilt for choice. Some notable beaches include:
Beaches
Sarasota
This world famous 'powder' sand beach soft to the foot where both beauties and muscles stroll their stuff. Approximately 40 minutes drive. Picnic tables. Boardwalks, Rest rooms etc., good for swimming and people watching.
Boca Grande & Gasparilla
Only some 20 minutes drive. Three beaches to choose from alike the adjacent photo at Boca Grande, within a beautiful location of stunning properties and shopping area.
Englewood Beach
Turn left down Beach road on SR 776 St. McCall as passing through Englewood. Only 10 minutes drive. Picnic tables, BBQ's, playground, volleyball, rest rooms and showers. Good beach for swimming, walking and shell collection.
Also good area for boat hire and deep sea fishing trips / charters. April / May being the Tarpon season.
Middle Beach. (Blind Pass)
An expanse of scenic coastline great for fishing, swimming and beach combing
Manasota Beach
At the North end of Manasota Key some 3 miles North of Middle Beach. Very long wide beach and dunes having sheltered picnic tables.
Many other beaches surround the locality so get out your local maps found at Publix or Win Dixie (Sunnybrook Boulevard) supermarkets, both on SR776 St McCall as you approach Rotonda West / Englewood from Port Charlotte and explore. We would love to hear from anyone finding further good beaches.
